Here's something very cool to get the young women in your life involved in music. Girls' Rock Camp is a non-profit, five-day summer day camp where girls ages 10 through 18 learn instrument instruction and participate in workshops that encourage participants on their journeys of self-discovery and artistic expression. Over the course of five days, campers also form rock bands and learn basic music, teamwork, group creativity, and communication skills. At the end of camp, the campers' bands play their very own rock showcase, which is open to the public.
No previous musical experience is required and all skill levels are welcome. If a camper does not have her own instrument, camp organizers will provide instruments (guitars, basses, keyboards, and drums) on loan at no extra cost. Girls' Rock Camp (ATL) will be held at the Eyedrum Gallery, July 14th-19th. The Eyedrum Gallery is located in Atlanta at 290 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Ste. 8. Click here for more.

It doesn't take me this long to put ALL of my clothes on...even in the winter! Michael Phelps deserves an extra medal just for having to put this thing on and take it off all the time. Good Lord. Oh, and it costs around $550.

There are some jobs that I'd rather never have to do, and one of them is waiting tables. I only say that because I know how some servers get treated even when they've done nothing wrong. Having said that, I've also had servers that weren't as capable as this monkey. Check this out.
